“Peter Obi Is Honest, His 4-Year Promise Is Real” — PDP Chieftain Dan Ulasi Tells Nigerians

Dan Ulasi, a respected chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stepped up to defend Peter Obi’s recent declaration to serve for just four years if elected president in 2027. Amid public doubt and political jabs, Ulasi is urging Nigerians to take Obi at his word.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Ulasi said he believes Obi is one of the few sincere voices in Nigerian politics today. “Peter Obi is not like the typical politician we’re used to,” he noted. “When he says he’ll do four years, I believe him.”

Obi’s statement had sparked debate, with critics questioning the logic of a one-term presidency. But Ulasi pushed back, reminding Nigerians that the constitution already defines a presidential term as four years—with the option for renewal if the people so choose.

“Obi hasn’t said anything radical,” Ulasi added. “He just believes he can deliver results within that timeframe.” His support adds to growing calls for Nigerians to focus more on intentional leadership than recycled doubts.
