The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the redeployment of DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi to the Delta State Command, where he will serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations. The announcement came alongside news of his elevation to a new rank.
Adejobi, who until recently was the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), was decorated after the Police Service Commission approved his promotion. His new role places him at the heart of one of the most operationally sensitive state commands in Nigeria.
According to police authorities, Adejobi’s track record in public communication, operational management, and community policing makes him well-suited for the position. They expressed confidence that he will bring his expertise to bear in tackling security challenges.
As Operations DCP in Delta, Adejobi will be responsible for coordinating responses to violent crimes, strengthening community-police relations, and ensuring effective security strategies across the state.
