“We have seen your situations and we are so much concerned on the situation on ground,” she stated.
According to her, the forum plans to convene a regional governors’ meeting on October 18, 204 to strengthen security cooperation and mobilize global support for sustainable and durable solutions.
“The aim of the visit is part of the preparation of our conference, and we will call and seek International Organisations to solve your problems.”
Abdramane stated that the forum is committed to supporting Borno’s resettlement efforts, which raises hopes for a peaceful resolution and regional stability.
“We will go to different regions and to know what has actually been improved since the fourth conference.
She commended Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s commitment to restoring Borno State, which is the epicenter of the crisis and ravaged by the insurgency.
“We have visited so many places but we have not seen a dedicated governor like your own.” She added.
It was observed that the visit is seen as a significant step towards restoring peace and stability in the Lake Chad Basin region.
