President Tinubu Departs UK For France

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has departed the United Kingdom for Paris, France, where he is set to attend an undisclosed “important engagement.”

This was disclosed by his Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, through a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, @KabirIbrah64.

In his message, Masari revealed that he had the privilege of meeting the president at his private residence in the UK, where they held what he described as “productive discussions” before Tinubu’s departure for Paris.

“Today, I had the honor of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at his private residence in the United Kingdom. We engaged in productive discussions before departing for Paris, France, for another important engagement,” Masari tweeted.

Details regarding the nature of the president’s engagement in Paris were not provided.

President Tinubu had initially left Nigeria on October 2 for a two-week working vacation in the UK, which was part of his annual leave. According to a statement issued on the same day by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president planned to rest and attend to personal engagements before returning to Nigeria.
