Records from the public payment portal, Govspend, show that the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) made several significant payments related to office equipment and facility maintenance. On February 25, 2025, a payment of N103 million was made to G.U. Ebeco Industries Limited for the procurement of office furniture for the OSGF.
On the same day, another N26.2 million was paid to Welcome to Our World Limited for works including basement drainage, window netting, and the purchase of keys and tools for the office. The official description states that the payment covered maintenance and improvement works within the facility.
A review of the approved 2026 budget also shows that the OSGF allocated N1.1 billion for the construction of an annex to serve as residential quarters for presidential aides. In addition, N1.2 billion was set aside for the purchase of vehicles, including Toyota SUVs, saloon cars, and double-cabin pickup trucks.
Budget documents further reveal an allocation of N496 million for heavy-duty photocopiers and office furniture. These findings follow an earlier report that N9.6 million was paid in 2023 for branded towels produced to mark SGF George Akume’s 70th birthday celebration, which took place in his home state.
