A political figure in Owan East has dismissed what he describes as a baseless “suspension,” calling it an attempt at intimidation rather than a legitimate party action. He argues that the move reflects rising internal tension where dialogue and inclusion have allegedly been replaced with pressure and enforced silence.
He claims that many party members were sidelined from decisions made on December 29, suggesting those resolutions were reached without genuine consultation. According to him, this approach weakens trust, deepens divisions, and distracts from pressing local development priorities.
The statement also criticizes the use of resources for internal political battles instead of channeling them into infrastructure and human capacity development. He calls for collective reflection, insisting it is not too late to correct mistakes and restore a more inclusive political atmosphere.
He ends with a call for civic resistance to political intimidation, urging local stakeholders to uphold transparency, fairness, and open participation in the political affairs of Owan East.
