Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has made minor adjustments to his cabinet, redeploying Barr. Christopher Green, the Commissioner of Sports Development, to the Ministry of Justice as the new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
This decision follows the political crisis in the state, which led to the dissolution of certain cabinet members affected by the Supreme Court judgment. Green, who had been overseeing Sports, will continue to coordinate activities in that ministry until a substantive commissioner is appointed.
The redeployment, approved during the final State Executive Council meeting of 2025, highlights Fubara’s commitment to strengthening governance, ensuring continuity in service delivery, and optimising the performance of key ministries in Rivers State.
