Senator Adams Oshiomhole Felicitates Muslims At Eid-el-Fitr

SENATOR Adams Oshiomhole has extended his warmest wishes to Muslims around the world as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement released by his senior aide, Victor Oshioke, Oshiomhole described Eid-el-Fitr as a joyous moment of renewal and hope, emphasizing the importance of the virtues learned during Ramadan.

“The month of Ramadan offered Muslim faithful a divine path to imbibe a spirit of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, self-denial, good neighborliness, and total submission to the will of Allah,” he said.

Oshiomhole urged Nigerian Muslims to replicate these virtues in their everyday conduct, emphasizing the need to work towards a society where peace, love, and progress reign, regardless of diversity in beliefs.

“As we celebrate, we should not forget the lessons learnt, to wit, the spirit of piety, alms-giving, of compassion, and love for fellow men,” he added.

The Senator also called for prayers for the nation, stating, “We are a praying nation and a community of believers. Let us remember, as always, our country this season, and I enjoin the Ummah to continue to make supplications to Allah to heal the ills of the nation and favor us with peace and progress.”

In conclusion, Oshiomhole wished the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid el-Fitri, praying that almighty Allah continues to guide and bless everyone.
