SEYI Tinubu has locked the comments section of his Instagram account after many came after him following a post he made on Monday morning for Nigerians to endure more of the hardship unfolded by what critics claim to have flowed from the policies of his father.
GWG.ng reports that in his post, Seyi who is the eldest son of President Bola Tinubu and was an active member of his campaign had in the wake of the increasing hardship in the land posted on his Instagram handle:
There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago.
I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.
While the Instagram post was received with appreciation by some followers, a sizeable proportion of others were particularly dismissive alleging that Seyi Tinubu was not conscious of the pain many Nigerians were passing through.
The criticism was particularly vicious on X, formerly known as Twitter, as some took time to examine the customised outfit he wore in his Instagram post and with claims that the wristwatch he wears costs thousands of dollars.
While there were a few patronizing reactions to the Instagram post, the great majority of the comments were vicious with some even abusive and tending to curses, a move that apparently moved Seyi Tinubu to lock up the comment section.
