The son of the renowned cleric, Sayyadi Ali Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has confirmed his father’s passing in a phone conversation with Daily Trust.
Speaking with quiet emotion, he said, “It is confirmed. Sheikh has returned to his Creator. We are all from Allah, and to Him we shall return.”
Sayyadi Ali expressed gratitude for the long and impactful life the scholar lived, noting that his father’s journey was marked by service, devotion and wisdom. “It is time for Sheikh to rest. We thank Almighty Allah. Allah has done everything for us by sparing his life until now. Sheikh’s life was well spent. Alhamdulillah,” he added.
Currently in Madinah, Sayyadi Ali explained that he could not yet confirm the burial arrangements. “Maybe in Abuja or Bauchi,” he said, noting that the family would communicate details in due course.
The passing of the esteemed Sheikh has prompted a wave of tributes nationwide, with many reflecting on his scholarship, humility and the spiritual guidance he offered to thousands.
