Shocking Twist: How Auchi Poly Lecturer Was Framed, Stripped and Beaten Over Cult Clash

The Real Victim, Not the Villain

Contrary to earlier viral reports suggesting that a senior lecturer at Auchi Polytechnic was caught in a compromising situation with a married woman, fresh revelations have turned the narrative on its head. The so-called “scandal” has now been exposed as a horrifying case of abduction, blackmail, and targeted assault carried out by cult-linked elements in Etsako Central LGA, Edo State.

A Trap in Disguise

The lecturer, Mr. Ehighie, was reportedly lured to the home of his immediate neighbour—Aliyu Suleiman Lucky, widely known as “As E Dey Hot”—under the guise of helping resolve a water supply issue. Both men reside in Ibienafe, with only a low fence separating their homes. Believing it was a simple neighbourly favour, Mr. Ehighie left work at Auchi Polytechnic to help out.

Unknown to him, Lucky and his gang—allegedly cultists and internet fraudsters (yahoo boys)—had already set a trap. On arrival, Mr. Ehighie was ambushed at gunpoint, stripped naked, and brutalized in the full presence of tenants and passersby, near Ibienafe Primary School.

The True Motive: A Stand Against Cultism

Sources close to the matter revealed that Mr. Ehighie was targeted for refusing to stay silent about an earlier cult-related incident. The lecturer had recently intervened when some students attempted to forcefully initiate a new student into a cult group. This act of courage made him a target in the eyes of local cultists.

To disgrace and silence him, the gang forced Mr. Ehighie to masturbate on video under extreme duress, while gunshots rang in the background. The video, which was later circulated online, was not a selfie, as some earlier claims alleged. The footage was recorded by the attackers themselves—evidence of psychological and physical torture.

No Infidelity, No Affair

Contrary to social media speculation, the woman accused of being involved is not a student, nor was she even present during the incident. Her last child is over two years old, and she was not in town at the time. She is also the legal wife of Mr. Lucky—the very man who masterminded the attack.

Blackmail for Silence

The gang reportedly contacted Mr. Ehighie’s wife, demanding ₦3 million in exchange for not releasing the video footage. Thankfully, the case has since been reported to the police, prompting the criminals to flee the town as law enforcement closes in.

Fighting Injustice with Truth

As Mr. Ehighie battles for his life from injuries sustained during the attack, this case serves as a grim reminder of how misinformation and sensational reporting can distort truth and ruin lives. This is a call to responsible journalism and community justice—a man’s dignity was almost destroyed by lies.

Let this be a reminder that in the age of social media, the truth must always come first. What happened to Mr. Ehighie is not a scandal—it’s a crime.
