Strait of Hormuz: Is the price of oil now rising?

The Conflict between the USA, Israel and Iran has as yet unforeseeable consequences for global energy supplies. If it continues, it could plunge the global economy into a crisis. This is mainly due to the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important shipping routes in the world.

The strait between the Iran in the north and Oman and the United Arab Emirates in the south is less than 50 kilometers wide in places. It is a bottleneck for tankers carrying oil and gas from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the Emirates, Kuwait and Iran, from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
