Tears Flow as Two NSCDC Officers K!lled in Edo Are Laid to Rest
It was a day of sorrow and solemn respect in Bauchi as the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) buried two of its gallant officers who were ambushed and k!lled in Okpella, Edo State.
The fallen men, ASCII Abdullahi Adamu and ASCII Abdulkadir M. Gololo, were on national duty at Sinoma BUA Cement Company when they met their tragic end on September 5, 2025. Their remains were brought home for burial after a farewell parade on September 8 at the Bauchi Command headquarters.
The commandant, CC Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde, led officers, unit heads, and management staff in a solemn prayer session, asking God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give their families strength to bear the painful loss. The atmosphere was heavy, as colleagues remembered their sacrifice with deep grief.
In line with tradition, a 21-gun salute echoed through the command premises before the final interment was carried out according to Islamic rites. It was a powerful reminder of the ultimate price security officers often pay while serving the nation.
Commandant Oyerinde described the killings as most unfortunate, praying that Almighty God grants the two officers Jannatul Firdausi and brings comfort to their loved ones, the Bauchi State Command, and the entire NSCDC family.
