The Animal Called Man, By Hon Justin Besta Ozeoya

ANYBODY who’s greedy has no passion or love. A passionate leader is one who feels the pain of his people. He’s always ready to serve selflessly. You don’t necessarily have to be the President of a country to serve selflessly or passionately.

Even if you make a greedy man Governor or President, his personal demands will only increase. It’s surprising to hear some APC Aspirants talking about their passion and great concern for their people. If you have passion or love for your people, you will definitely be selfless because except you are, you can’t serve effectively.
What do we make out of a man who has been elected to an office he applied for by himself and immediately, even when he has not expended half of his tenure, he begins desperately to canvas for another office. This is where our laws are weak. Such a person ought to resign from the office he’s holding before he can be eligible to vile for another.

Amusing as it is, they lie that it’s born out of their desire to serve. We thought you meant to serve, reason you were elected in the first place. Or you were completely oblivious of the opportunity or otherwise limitation of the office you opted and campaigned vigorously to occupy?
More amusing is that many people who have no position at all, even cluster round the beast and pour encomium of unimaginable degrees on him. Some even call him savior of their time.

These ingrates who do this have a calloused mind, breathless heart and most often on a dangerous adventure. Even the wildest beast among animals will behave better than this.
This phenomenon should be checked otherwise it’s capable of endangering our young democracy. If we still have any morality left in us as APC leaders and members alike, let’s reject this inordinate ambition and discourage this beastly disposition, they’re nothing but wolves in sheep’s clothing.
