President Bola Tinubu and French President Emmanuel Macron met over a private lunch at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Wednesday, strengthening diplomatic ties between both nations.
The meeting, described as a “working private lunch,” was confirmed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who shared photos from the event on his 𝕏 account.
“President Bola Tinubu, with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron, during a working private lunch at the Elysee Palace, Paris. Wednesday, September 10, 2025,” Onanuga wrote.
The closed-door engagement comes at a time Nigeria is seeking deeper international partnerships, especially in trade, investment, and security cooperation with France.
