A senior lecturer at Auchi Polytechnic has found himself in hot water after he was allegedly caught pants-down in the home of a married woman he had persistently been chasing, despite her repeated refusals.
According to sources close to the family, the dramatic incident occurred barely two months after the woman had given birth to her child. The lecturer, whose name is being withheld for privacy concerns, was said to have been making relentless sexual advances toward the young mother, even while she was still nursing her infant.
Tired of the harassment, the woman confided in her husband. Together, they hatched a plan to lure the lecturer into a trap that would expose his indecent behavior. After several failed attempts by the lecturer to seduce her, she finally agreed to invite him to their home under the guise that her husband was away.
Unknown to the lecturer, the husband and a few trusted neighbors were hiding in the next room. As soon as the lecturer began making sexual advances toward the woman, they stormed out and caught him red-handed.
The encounter was said to have caused a major stir in the neighborhood, with some residents recording parts of the confrontation. The man was reportedly escorted out of the compound in shame, while community elders and school authorities are said to have been informed.
While no official comment has yet been made by Auchi Polytechnic, pressure is mounting on the institution to investigate the incident and take disciplinary action. Many are calling for the lecturer’s suspension, citing abuse of professional boundaries and moral misconduct.
The husband has since stated that he and his wife only wanted to expose the lecturer’s predatory behavior, and not to engage in mob justice.
