Victor Osimhen continued his sensational form on Wednesday night, bagging a brace to lead Galatasaray to a decisive 3–1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in their UEFA Champions League clash at the RAMS Park.
The 26-year-old Nigerian striker wasted no time making his mark, opening the scoring in just the third minute. He received a pass from Mario Lemina and unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box into the net.
Osimhen wasn’t done, doubling the lead just after the half-hour mark. He capitalized on a defensive blunder by the Norwegian side, quickly pouncing on the error to slot in his second goal of the night.
A Club Record for Osimhe
With this incredible performance, Osimhen has now etched his name into Galatasaray history. His two goals mean he has scored in seven consecutive European matches for the club, making him only the second player to achieve this remarkable feat.
Yunus Akgun added a third for the Turkish champions on the hour mark, effectively putting the game out of reach for the visitors. Andreas Helmersen eventually managed to pull one goal back for Bodo/Glimt as a consolation.
Osimhen, having delivered a brilliant performance, received a standing ovation from the home fans when he was substituted for Mauro Icardi with 17 minutes remaining.
