Video: Oshiomhole in Fisticuffs at Lagos Airport, another Episode of APC’s Culture of Unruly Behaviour

In what eyewitnesses described as a shocking display of aggression and disorder, former APC National Chairman and current Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, was reportedly involved in a heated physical altercation at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, at the early hours of Wednesday.

The incident escalated from a verbal spat into a full-blown scuffle, drawing the attention of stunned travelers and airport security.

Sources claim Oshiomhole, known for his unruly behaviour, locked the MMA 1 Zulu terminal gate after missing a 6:30 AM Air Peace flight from Lagos to Abuja. He arrived late at 6:20 AM, after boarding operations had long concluded and the flight had already departed on schedule.

Oshiomhole who in a viral video appeared visibly irritated, was seen hurling insults at the officials of the airline. His behaviour caused a disruption at the MMA 1 Zulu terminal after arriving late and missing a 6:30 am Air Peace flight to Abuja.

Witnesses and officials noted that this was not the first time he had arrived just minutes before departure. In response to missing the flight, he locked the terminal gate, stranding passengers on other scheduled flights. The airline was forced to operate from a different terminal due to the incident.

This outburst is not entirely surprising to many Nigerians who view the incident as another manifestation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) recurring struggle with discipline and decorum.

Critics have long argued that the APC’s leadership culture often promotes impunity and unruly behaviour. From heated altercations in public to inflammatory comments and threats, some say the APC seems to have normalized what they call a “pattern of unruliness.”

What happened at the Lagos Airport with Oshiomhole only reinforces a narrative that has followed APC leaders for years, disrespect for public order and entitlement to special treatment.
