The Police Service Commission (PSC) has made it clear—there is no ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force for 2025, and all reports suggesting otherwise are fake. This warning comes in response to misleading posts currently circulating on social media, urging Nigerians to apply for police jobs.
In a statement released over the weekend, PSC’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, expressed frustration over how fraudsters always seem to jump the gun when it comes to police recruitment announcements. “Every time we’re preparing for recruitment, these scammers go ahead to confuse people with false information,” Ani stated.
He emphasized that the commission has not started the process and assured that whenever recruitment does begin, it will follow official and transparent procedures. Nigerians have been urged to be patient and wait for authentic announcements directly from the commission.
The PSC is also calling on security agencies to track down those behind these deceptive online posts. Their goal is to protect both the integrity of the police recruitment process and unsuspecting Nigerians who could fall victim to these scams.
