The Conference of Professionals in the Peoples Democratic Party (CP-PDP) has come out swinging at Nyesom Wike, saying the former Rivers State governor has no place left in the PDP.
In a strong-worded statement signed by Obinna Nwachukeu, chairman of the group, the PDP professionals said Wike should stop posturing as a stakeholder in a party he has already abandoned. They also urged Nigerians to disregard anything Wike says, especially his usual media outbursts — like the one he made on Monday.
Recall that during that media chat, Wike tried to dictate terms and conditions about how the PDP should be run, especially in the South South and South East zones.
But CP-PDP was quick to remind him that the party has already moved on. According to them, PDP’s leadership structure in those zones is settled, functional, and not under the control of Wike or any court drama he tries to bring up.
They slammed Wike for acting like a PDP chieftain while clearly working with the ruling APC and President Bola Tinubu, describing him as nothing more than an apologist of a failed government.
The group made it clear: Wike has lost every right to speak for the PDP. “The days of being bullied or manipulated are over,” they said.
