GOVERNOR Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has finally bowed to the judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria by formally recognizing Rt. Hon Martins Chike Amaewhule as the authentic speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
He equally has recognized the 26 House members as bonafide members of the House.
In a letter addressed to Speaker Amaewhule, dated March 7, obtained by THISNIGERIA newspaper, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Tammy Danagogo, on behalf of Gov Fubara, said he was ready to re-present the state’s budget, pay the illegally withheld emoluments of the 27 lawmakers as well as provide a befitting ‘space for the Assemby’ s sitting’.
