The department will host a momentous event, featuring a book launch and the unveiling of a five-billion-naira (N5 billion) endowment fund, on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This landmark occasion will take place at the Design Studio Auditorium, African Centre of Excellence, OAU, Ile Ife.

The statement also read that “We are pleased to announce that Professor Oyebanji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka will deliver the 55th keynote lecture at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).”
Highlighting the day’s significance, His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, will grace the occasion as the royal father of the day.
