Vanished History: The ADC Excitement
Today, no one is talking about the effusive need for integrity in politics as usual politicians convocated under ADC to oust President Tinubu. The presidential candidate of LP is now almost a loner while PDP is disintegrating like a sun-beaten mushroom. It might not even be able to resolve having a presidential candidate as the likes of Atiku and David Mark have left to form a coalition under the ADC.
Let us not forget history so soon: 2015 offered us how desperation can lead to wrong alternatives. We must recourse to history all the time because we learn often that we dont learn from history.
The appeal of the ADC offers us the same appeal that birthed Buhari against Jonathan. Those who people this latest party are the same regular politicians that have been around for decades: Pa Oyegun, David Mark, El Rufai, Atiku, Aregbesola…a group of gerentocratic aristocrats.
It is the same path, perhaps the same peril, or a different peril.
