NDLEA Bursts Cocaine, Tramadol Syndicates in Massive Nationwide Crackdown

The NDLEA isn’t slowing down in its fight against drug trafficking. In a major breakthrough, their operatives uncovered a clever smuggling trick—cocaine and tramadol stashed inside 71 vehicle side mirrors bound for Gabon. Thanks to sharp intelligence, three suspects were arrested after the seizure at Lagos’ international airport.

One key player, cargo agent Ihekweme Osinachi, was busted first. His arrest led to another—Uzochukwu Godspower—whose house was hiding even more drugs. In total, the team recovered 68 parcels of cocaine weighing 2.6kg and over 57,000 tramadol pills.

But the busts didn’t stop there. In another shocking find, a businesswoman, Nneka Nwafor, was caught smuggling drugs in lipsticks heading to Equatorial Guinea. Her husband, still on the run, allegedly handled the concealment. Nneka told investigators they ran the operation as a family hustle.

Meanwhile, in Abuja, NDLEA arrested dispatch riders moving cannabis around town. In Lagos, Mushin and Yaba saw fresh arrests, with suspects caught carrying synthetic weed and “skuchies.” From Benue to Bayelsa, raids uncovered stashes of tramadol, skunk, and codeine—some even hidden in shoes.

It’s clear: drug traffickers are getting creative, but the NDLEA is staying one step ahead. Their tireless effort across states—from Kano to Osun—shows Nigeria’s war on drugs is far from over. And with each arrest, the message is louder: there’s no hiding place.
