Okpebholo Names Four Commissioner-Designates, Appoints Youth Mobilisation Aides in Edo

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has unveiled four commissioner-designates whose names will be sent to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The announcement, made on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, also included two fresh appointments to drive youth mobilisation in the state.

Aigbogun Collins, immediate past Chairman of Esan West Local Government Council, is now the Governor’s Special Adviser on Youth Mobilisation, while Osobase Oboaguina was named Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation, Edo Central.

The commissioner-designates are:

  1. Ohimai Ehijimetor – A Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Benin with over 14 years’ experience in project management, leadership, and business development. He currently heads Jackhammar Services Limited as Managing Director.

  2. Eugenia Abdallah – A creative, self-driven executive with qualifications in Humanities and Administration, and more than a decade’s experience in the banking industry.

  3. Hon. Godwin Afekokhe Eshieshi – A seasoned politician, businessman, and community leader. He has degrees in Government & Public Administration and International Relations, and previously served as an Edo State House of Assembly member (1992–1993) and as Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council (1999–2002).

  4. Prince Kassim Afegbua – A veteran journalist, political commentator, and politician. He holds a degree in English & Literary Studies, with further training in media relations and political communication. Afegbua has served as Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, and as Special Adviser on Media to a former governor.

The nominations mark another step in Governor Okpebholo’s ongoing effort to assemble a team he believes will deliver on his administration’s goals.
