President Bola Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to former Minister of Agriculture and ex-PDP National Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbeh, following news of his passing on Saturday.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Ogbeh as a patriot who believed deeply in Nigeria’s promise and never shied away from speaking his mind.
“Chief Ogbeh was always ready with facts and figures to support his views. He was a man of strong convictions who spoke the truth as he saw it,” Tinubu said.
He praised the late politician’s decades-long service to the nation — from his early days in the 1970s as a legislator to his leadership in agriculture, political party administration, and democratic development.
“The nation will sorely miss his insightful perspectives and wealth of experience,” the President noted, adding that Ogbeh’s impact on Nigeria’s agricultural growth and political stability will remain a lasting legacy.
Tinubu extended condolences to Ogbeh’s family, friends, associates, and the people of Benue State, praying for God’s comfort and the peaceful repose of his soul.
