The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 17 vessels are expected to arrive at the Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos between November 3 and 7, 2025. The agency disclosed this on Monday in its daily publication, the Shipping Position, which outlines vessel movements across Nigerian seaports.
According to the NPA, 13 of the incoming ships are laden with petroleum products including crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, gas oil, gasoline, and petrol. The remaining four ships are carrying containers loaded with assorted goods, reflecting the continued high activity levels at Nigeria’s busiest ports.
The agency also confirmed that six vessels have already arrived and are waiting to berth with cargoes such as general goods, petrol, bulk urea, and containers. Meanwhile, 16 ships are currently discharging commodities including general cargo, bulk wheat, fresh fish, gas, and petrol across various terminals.
In addition, the NPA revealed that 14 vessels are expected at Lekki Deep Seaport within the same period. These ships are also bringing in petroleum products such as crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, and gas oil. At present, nine ships are already stationed at Lekki Port, waiting to berth with consignments of crude oil, petrol, gasoline, and bulk urea.
The steady stream of vessels underscores the growing operational efficiency across Nigeria’s ports and highlights Lagos as a key maritime hub for energy and commercial trade in West Africa.
