Security Forces Take Out Notorious Bandit Kachalla Na’Allah in Sokoto Operation

Combined security operatives have recorded another major success in the fight against banditry in Sokoto State with the elimination of a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Na’Allah. The operation, carried out in Isa Local Government Area, is being described as a significant blow to criminal networks terrorising communities in the region.

A reliable security source confirmed that Na’Allah was shot dead on Friday during a targeted interception between Girnashe and Kuka Tara villages in Tsabre Ward. The encounter, the source said, followed intelligence-led movements that tracked the bandit leader’s activities in the area.

The operation was executed by a joint team comprising Mobile Police operatives and Community Guards, with support from the Nigerian Army. Their coordinated effort led to the successful neutralisation of Na’Allah, who had long been linked to violent attacks and insecurity across parts of Sokoto State.

Na’Allah was identified as a cousin of the infamous bandit leader, Ibrahim Chimmo, who is believed to be operating within the Sububu Forest axis. Security sources say the relationship underscores how bandit groups in the region are closely connected through family and operational ties.

According to the source, removing Na’Allah from the scene weakens the command structure of bandit groups and disrupts their ability to plan and execute attacks. It is seen as part of a broader strategy to dismantle leadership figures driving violence across the state.

The development comes just days after troops of the Nigerian Army’s 8 Division neutralised another notorious bandit kingpin, Kachalla Kallamu, in Sabon Birnin Local Government Area, signaling intensified pressure on criminal elements.

Reacting to the latest success, the Special Adviser to Governor Ahmad Aliyu on Security Matters, retired Colonel Ahmad Usman, alongside local residents, commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies. They praised the sustained efforts and renewed momentum in restoring peace and safety to affected communities in Sokoto State.
