At least six farmers were reportedly k!lled last night in Unguwar Wawa community, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, in an attack by suspected armed bandits. The incident was reported on Saturday via X by Bakatsine, a journalist covering conflict and insecurity in northwest Nigeria.
According to sources, the assailants stormed the community at around 10:00 p.m., opening fire on farmers who were working late on their farmlands. The bandits reportedly fled immediately after the attack, leaving the community in fear and mourning.
