The music retailer Thomann has long been a kind of better Amazon for trombones and violins. Now he is investing millions in what is probably the largest music store in the world – in a Franconian village.

There will be a lot of new things: a separate room just for harps. Shelves for the double bass cases. More than 100 different microphones can be tried out. Just like mixing consoles or light show equipment. The music retailer Thomann has even thought of a games room for children. The company is currently building what is probably the largest music store in the world in the 200-inhabitant town of Brückendorf in Upper Franconia: on three floors with lots of wood for the look and columns for the statics. It will have 14,000 square meters of retail space.
