JAMB to Release 2026 UTME Results Within 24 Hours as 2.2 Million Candidates Await Scores

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, 2026, will be released within 24 hours.

According to the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the results will be made available by midnight, with an official public announcement to follow once the process is completed.

He assured candidates that updates would be communicated immediately after the release, stating that the board remains committed to transparency and timely dissemination of results.

The UTME, which began on April 16 and is scheduled to run until April 22, is being conducted in four sessions daily—starting from 7:30 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. The arrangement, according to JAMB, is designed to manage the large number of candidates while ensuring smooth operations across Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

This year, nearly 2.2 million candidates are participating in the examination across 966 accredited CBT centres. Each centre is required to meet strict operational standards, including functional computer systems, stable power supply, reliable internet connectivity, and adequately trained personnel.

The board emphasized that these measures are part of efforts to ensure a credible and efficient examination process, while reducing disruptions often associated with large-scale national tests.
