Former Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has reacted emotionally after the club secured the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years.
Henry, who played a major role during Arsenal’s famous 2003/04 “Invincibles” season, shared his excitement on Instagram after Mikel Arteta guided the club back to the top of English football.
In his message, the Arsenal legend praised the current squad for ending the long wait and admitted the victory was especially emotional because his children finally got to witness Arsenal becoming league champions for the first time.
The Premier League title was officially confirmed on Tuesday night after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth, leaving Arsenal unreachable at the top of the table.
The achievement marks a historic moment for Arsenal supporters worldwide, many of whom had waited more than two decades to celebrate another league title.
Henry remains one of the greatest players in Arsenal’s history, having won multiple trophies with the club and becoming a symbol of the team’s dominance during the early 2000s.
Arsenal players are now expected to celebrate the title with supporters when they officially lift the Premier League trophy at the Emirates Stadium.
