Wike Allegedly Allocates Over 2,000 Hectares of Prime Abuja Land Worth $3.6 Billion to Son Joaquin

Abuja, Nigeria – A new report by standarddailypress has revealed that Nigeria’s current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, allegedly allocated over 2,000 hectares of prime Abuja land to his son, Joaquin Wike, under controversial circumstances. The land, reportedly valued at approximately $3.6 billion, is situated in a highly sought-after part of the capital city.

According to the investigation, the allocation was made under the name of Joachim Farms and Estate Limited, a company allegedly linked to Joaquin. An image of an official “Offer of Statutory Right of Occupancy” issued by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has surfaced, showing details of the land grant. The document covers land located in Cadastral Zone F7, which is known for its high-value properties.

The land offer letter, issued by the Department of Land Administration, confirms the large size of the property and outlines conditions including development within a specific timeframe and payment of a fixed ground rent. While the official record classifies the intended use as “agricultural,” sources argue the sheer scale and location of the land raises concerns about the legitimacy and intent of the allocation.

Photos circulating with the report show Wike, his son Joaquin, and President Bola Tinubu, further fueling public criticism and suspicion of favoritism and abuse of office.

Critics have raised questions about the transparency of land allocation processes in the FCT, especially given the estimated worth of the land involved and the proximity of the beneficiaries to powerful political figures. Meanwhile, no official statement has been made by Wike or his office to address the allegations at the time of this report.

The revelations have sparked widespread debate online and calls for an independent investigation into how such a large parcel of Abuja’s choice land was allegedly transferred to a private entity linked to a government official’s family member.
