Tinubu’s Emergence Was God’s Choice — Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has stated that the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s leader in the 2023 general election was the will of God, not merely political strategy.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-East Zonal Stakeholders Meeting held at the International Conference Center (ICC) in Abakaliki, the state capital, Governor Nwifuru said Tinubu was divinely chosen over other candidates who, according to him, ran on religious sentiments.

“God ignored others who contested on religious sentiments because He sees the heart of everyone. That is why He brought Tinubu,” Nwifuru said.

He dismissed ongoing coalition efforts by opposition parties ahead of the 2027 presidential election, insisting they would not succeed against the APC.

“No amount of coalition can derail God’s purpose of Tinubu winning the election come 2027. No opposition is well-prepared more than our President,” he asserted.

Governor Nwifuru further described President Tinubu as a leader with the boldness and capacity to make tough decisions for Nigeria’s progress.

“We need someone who can make bold decisions. President Tinubu has such capacity.”

The governor’s remarks come amid increasing political realignments and opposition mobilization across the country in preparation for the next general election.
