The embattled Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has resumed legislative duties after completing her six-month suspension from the Senate.
She arrived at the National Assembly around 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, where she was received by supporters and loyalists at the complex’s arcade car park before proceeding to her office.
Addressing journalists and well-wishers, Akpoti-Uduaghan maintained that she would not apologise to the Senate as a condition for her return. Instead, she insisted that the Senate leadership should apologise to her over what she described as “injustice.”
The senator was suspended on March 6, 2025, following a heated dispute with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, whom she had accused of sexual harassment.
