The Nigeria Police Force has declared a 38-year-old man from Ebonyi State, Okoro Prince Nkemakolam, wanted for attempted murder after allegedly attacking a complainant with a machete and knife.
In a Special Police Gazette Bulletin shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday, the Force said Nkemakolam is being sought by the Interpol Unit of the Nigeria Police following a warrant of arrest issued by the High Court of Abuja.
According to police records, the suspect conspired with others before launching a violent attack that left the victim with deep machete and knife cuts. The complainant, who narrowly escaped death, had to be admitted to hospital and stitched multiple times across his head and body.
Police described Nkemakolam as an Igbo man of medium height and build, with a square face, thick lips, black eyes, copper complexion, and black hair. He reportedly alternates between western and traditional dressing styles. His last known address was listed as Benin/Abakaliki Road, Umubo Community in Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
The public has been urged to provide useful information about his whereabouts or arrest him if found and hand him over to the nearest police station. Alternatively, he can be reported directly to the Office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Interpol, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
