Governor Monday Okpebholo is a Law abiding Leader– Ohonbamu

Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu has described Governor Monday Okpebholo as a law abiding leader.

The Commissioner disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the decision of the Executive Council Meeting held recently in Benin City.

Ohonbamu explained that the decision of the EXCO for the rebuilding of a hotel owned by Tony Kabaka destroyed by the previous administration to the tune of 914 million naira was in line with the Judgment of the Court.

“The EXCO approved the sum of 914 million naira that the Court asked to be paid to Tony Kabaka for the rebuilding of his destroyed hotel.

“We have a leader who is law abiding and will not infringe on any body’s rights. The decision of Courts, lower and even Court of Appeal are to be obeyed,” he added.

The Commissioner further noted that, ” this is a signal to the Judiciary that we have a Governor who listens.

“The EXCO presided over by the Chairman in Council, Governor Monday Okpebholo also approved the procurement of additional fifty brand new buses to complement the earlier one hundred unit procured for the new Edo Line Company and additional CNG buses was approved for the Edo City Transport Service, ECTS.

“In the area of Agriculture and Food Security, the EXCO also approved the procurement of five bull dozers and one low bed truck to discourage the hiring of equipment by the State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.”
