A man was apprehended for allegedly stealing electrical cables from a shop at Bakky Plaza, Lekki, after sneaking in while the shop owner slept. The owner, alone upstairs, dozed off with the door unlocked, allowing the suspect to quietly take advantage.
Upon being confronted, the suspect claimed he was sent by workers from a nearby showroom. Investigations revealed he had earlier hidden some cables outside before returning to steal more. Quick action by the owner prevented further loss, and authorities were alerted.
