Mammoth Crowd as Enugu Gov’s Chief of Staff, Victor Udeh, Registers with APC

A large crowd gathered at Obodo Upo in Umabi Ward, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, as the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barr. Victor Udeh, formally registered with the All Progressives Congress (APC) through the party’s electronic membership exercise.

Barr. Udeh used the occasion to call on technocrats and professionals to participate more actively in politics, noting that their involvement would strengthen governance and promote a more responsive society.

The event also saw the Deputy National Chairman of APC (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, commend Governor Peter Mbah’s performance, describing him as the best performing governor in Nigeria based on the scale and impact of projects across the state.

Addressing party members and residents, Udeh said the massive turnout reflected public appreciation for Governor Mbah’s developmental projects in Umabi Ward and Udi LGA, as well as growing acceptance of the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.

He encouraged residents to register with the party, obtain their party and voter cards, and support the governor and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in future elections to sustain ongoing development.

Chief Eneukwu explained that the shift from manual to electronic registration was designed to build a credible membership database and strengthen the party’s structure ahead of the elections.

Other speakers at the event, including the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Uchenna Ugwu; Udi LGA Chairman, Hon. Hyginus Agu; Enugu APC Caretaker Chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye; and former state party chairman, Chief Ugochukwu Agballa, praised the turnout as a sign of growing support for the APC in the state.

They described Governor Mbah’s alignment with the APC as a movement that resonated with the people, adding that the registration exercise was key to consolidating political support across Enugu State.
