Help us Get the Police to Arrest the suspect(Greg Eagle Ikponwosa) in the Unresolved Death of our Children*- *Military Family Cries Out for Help from Governor Monday Okpebholo and Edo State First Lady
BENIN CITY – A cloud of grief and a demand for accountability have descended upon Edo State as the family of Lieutenant Colonel Ndibuisi breaks their silence regarding the harrowing deaths of their two children, Chukwudi (9) and Chisom (7). The children were brought in dead to the hospital following an incident at their residence at 1 Don Eagle close , off Bankole Akpata Street, off Limit Road. Sapele Road
Benin City
In a case marked by scientific impossibilities and blatant procedural failures, the family is officially calling upon His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, and the First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo to act as the ultimate shield for the vulnerable and ensure that the investigation into this double fatality is not subverted by influence or corruption.
Why the Family Seeks Intervention
The circumstances surrounding the deaths of these two young lights are fraught with inconsistencies that defy both logic and forensic science
The suspect -Greg Eagle Ikponwosa who happens to be the landlord claims the children were found floating in a swimming pool. However, forensic science is clear, a body typically sinks upon drowning and only floats much later due to decomposition. This raises the chilling possibility that Chukwudi and Chisom were already deceased before they ever touched the water.
In a digital age, the claim that a solar-powered CCTV system—which records locally—failed due to an “expired subscription” is a transparent falsehood. The fact that these cameras were verified to be working perfectly moments after the tragedy suggests a deliberate and tactical deletion of the truth.
The suspect- Greg Eagle Ikponwosa was reportedly seen applying oil to the mouths of the children. This act, entirely unrelated to any known medical resuscitation, points toward a desperate attempt to mask the true cause of death.
While the law usually mandates automatic remand in cases of murder, the suspect in this matter has been released before an autopsy could even be concluded.
The sight of police officers appearing to “escort” the suspect in a supportive capacity has shattered the family’s confidence in the impartiality of the current investigative team.
Lt. Col. Ndibuisi has spent his career defending the sovereignty of Nigeria. Today, he faces a different battle—a battle for the dignity of his children’s memory.
“Chukwudi and Chisom were the light of our lives,” the family shared in a poignant statement. “To be told that a solar camera needed a ‘subscription’ is not just a lie; it is an insult to our intelligence and a desecration of our children’s memory. We are not asking for a favor; we are demanding the truth that every citizen of Edo State deserves.”
The family turns to Governor Monday Okpebholo, not just as a political leader, but as a father and the Chief Security Officer of the State. They also appeal to the First Lady,Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo whose heart for the children of Edo is well known, to ensure that no stone is left unturned
The eyes of the nation are on Edo State. We must prove that the lives of our children cannot be snuffed out in the dark without the light of justice finding those responsible.
